U12 DIVISION GUIDELINES

The Spring & Fall Registration fees are $120 for our U12 divisions.

Jerseys are included in this fee for our U4-U12 age groups.

Fall 2025 registration is open.

Fall Game Dates for U12:

August:

Sat. 8-30

Sept.:

Sat. 9-6, Sun. 9-7 - Picture weekend,

Sat. 9-13, 9-20, 9-27

Oct.:

Sat. 10-4, 10-11

Sat. 10-18 - Fall Invitational - Top 4 teams in the standings only.  U8, U10, U12.

Tournaments:

Spring - PASA CUP - ALL TEAMS play in this single elimination tournament

Played on the weekend after the conclusion of the regular season of the Spring Season.

Fall - Fall Invitational - Top 4 teams in each boys and girls U8, U10, and U12 divisions

Played on the weekend after the conclusion of the regular season of the Fall Season.

Practices:  This age group will have practices once during the week. The practice day is chosen during registration by the coach and then the location set by the league.  Coaches will set times and are responsible for any cancelations due to weather conditions on their practice nights.  Practices are broken up by age groups as best as possible and are at varying locations.  See the locations map under the sponsors tab for more information.

Team Size:  Each team will have no more than 15 players.

Number of Players & Playing Time:  Each team will have nine (9) players on the field for a total of eighteen (18) on the field at one time. This includes the goalie. 

Before any player may play an entire game, all other players on the team must play at least 50% of the game.

Mercy Rule:   If a team goes ahead by 5 goals, the other team is allowed to add a player on the field. The additional player may remain on the field until a 4 goal differential is met. For example, a team is up 5-0. The other team places an additional player on the field and if the score becomes 5-1, then the additional player must go off the field.

Game Periods:  30 minute halves.  Half time is 5 minutes. 

Substitutions:  Open substitution for either team (with referee permission) anytime play is stopped for a ball that is off the field.  The team may also substitute at half-time, or for an injury.  Substitutes must be at the mid-field line waiting for referee permission to enter. 

Ball Size:  Size 4 

Coaches:  Coaching is from the team side only, in the designated coaches boxes.   Coaches must stay off the field unless summoned by the referee.   Coaching is not permitted from the spectator side or from behind the goals!!!

Slide Tackling:  Slide tackling is not permitted at this age group.  Players should stay on their feet.  Slide tackling is penalized with an indirect free kick.  Slide tackling from behind is penalized with a direct free kick. If a slide tackle from behind occurs in the penalty area, a PK is awarded.   Repeated offense may result in a yellow card caution or red card dismissal. 

Off Side:  Off side is enforced. 

Throw-ins:  For improper throw-ins, the referee will turn the ball over to the other team.

Score:  Score is kept at this age.  In the spring standings will be kept to determine the placement for the PASA Cup.

Heading: There is absolutely no heading allowed in U12.

Trophies:  Teams will participate in the PASA Cup tournament in the spring.  Each team will have the chance to receive a championship or runner up trophy during this tournament. 

Refunds:

You may request a refund if you plan to withdraw your player from active rosters for the season. ALL refund requests will include a $20 processing fee ($25 if more than one child in the same family is requesting a refund), we will deduct this fee from your refund.  In order to receive a full refund minus processing fees, your request must be received before the first scheduled game of the season.  If the request is necessary due to an injury, after the child has already participated in one or more games, we will review the request and let you know if you will receive a partial refund.  There will not be refunds after the first game is played.  There are no refunds due to a lack of interest on the part of the player once the season has begun.
